Earlier today, police in Hagerstown, Maryland, reported that on Monday September 16, at approximately 7:09 p.m., officers from the Hagerstown Police Department responded to the CVS store at 34 North Cannon Avenue after receiving a report of shots fired. Upon officers arriving in the area, they engaged in foot pursuits of three suspects.

Two suspects were quickly apprehended in the area of South Mulberry Street. They have been identified as Micah Curtis, age 18 of Hagerstown and Davon Alfonzo Griffin also age 18 of Hagerstown. Officers also located two handguns that were discarded by the two young men during the foot pursuit.

Officers identified two victims from the incident and determined their vehicle had been struck by gunfire. A search warrant was executed at 14 South Mulberry Street in the early morning hours on Tuesday September 17; and Franck Diffo-Simmo, age 18 of Hagerstown, was taken into custody.

The Hagerstown PD said that this is still an active investigation, but if anyone has information regarding this case, they can remain anonymous and contact Detective Weaver at sweaver@hagerstownpd.org from the Criminal Investigative Unit.
