It seems no matter where you live in the U.S. these days, extreme weather conditions have become the new normal. Case in point, the ongoing Winter Storm Heather has already wreaked chaos and havoc from Texas all the way up into the Northeast – and she’s not done yet.
Heather has already brought heavy snow and strong winds to the Northwest. The storm may also produce snow and ice in parts of the South and East from Sunday into Tuesday. Heather may bust some snowless streaks in the Northeast. ~ The Weather Channel
Winter weather in New York State is also responsible for postponing today’s Steelers versus Bills game.
Yesterday, the NFL announced that due to public safety concerns in light of the ongoing weather emergency in western New York, Sunday’s Steelers-Bills game has been rescheduled to Monday at 4:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by CBS.
The decision to move the game to Monday was made in consultation with New York Governor Kathy Hochul in the best interest of public safety, and with the Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers, as the region prepares for the storm, according to the NFL.
Some predictors believe the Steelers to be the odds-on favorite to take the matchup between the two gridiron giants. Should the Steelers prove victorious against the Bills, they’ll be on the road once again to Baltimore to meet their archrivals, the Ravens.
