The FBI was offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the location of Naomi Christine Irion.  According to the Las Vegas FBI Field Office, Naomi was last seen in the Walmart parking lot in Fernley, Nevada, on March 12 at approximately 5 a.m. – when she was abducted there.

Surveillance video shows a suspect walking from a nearby homeless camp and “lurking in vehicles,” before he got into Irion’s driver’s seat and drove off with her in the passenger’s seat, according to Fox News.

And now the tragic update from ABC News as it’s been reported that Naomi’s body has been found.

A tip regarding her disappearance led investigators to a remote part of neighboring Churchill County on Tuesday, where they found a “possible gravesite” and recovered the body of a woman from the scene, authorities said. On Wednesday, the remains were identified as Irion’s by the Washoe County Medical Examiners Office.

No further information is being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation, authorities said.

According to a March 28 report from CNN, officials on Friday, March 25,  arrested 41-year-old Troy Driver of Fallon, Nevada. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was holding Driver on a kidnapping charge.

Driver is being held on $750,000 bail following his first court appearance on March 30, according to Reno ABC affiliate KOLO.  His next hearing is scheduled for April 5.

According to a March 28 report from CNN, officials on Friday arrested 41-year-old Troy Driver of Fallon, Nevada. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is holding Driver on a kidnapping charge.

On March 15, three days after her abduction, Naomi’s vehicle was located next to the Sherwin-Williams Western Emulsion Plant, not far from the Walmart where she was kidnapped. She has not seen or heard from since March 12.  There have been a few Tweets saying that Naomi has been found, but the Lyon County Sheriff’s office warned that those tweets, “are NOT accurate! Please do not share them. Naomi has not been located yet and these just hinder the search efforts.”

Naomi was last seen wearing a blue Panasonic company shirt, a gray cardigan sweater, gray pants, and brown boots. She was carrying a black purse. Naomi’s iPhone (10 or 11) has not been found.

The FBI described Naomi as a White female, 18 Years old, with hair dyed black but naturally brown, green eyes but one eye has some brown in it, 5’ 11” and weighing approximately 230 – 250 pounds.  Naomi has a septum piercing and a smile face tattoo on her right ankle.

  • Seems a bit “funny ” that the tip that located her remains came in such a short time after the $10,000. reward was offered. If the person had that information, why did they wait to call it in!!!
