Two brothers murder their parents, grandma and sister and then take their own lives
On April 5, police in Allen, Texas, reported that two brothers entered into a pact to kill their parents, grandmother, and sister, and then take their own lives. In all, six family members are dead from a macabre murder-suicide that took place at their family home located in the 1500 block of Pine Bluff Drive in Allen this past weekend. Police discovered the bodies Monday morning after being called to make a welfare check, according to Fox 4 News.
Police identified the brothers that killed their family as 19-year-old Farhan Towhid and 21-year-old Tanvir Towhid. Murdered are their father, Towhidul Islam, 54; mother, Iren Islam, 56; grandmother, Altafun Nessa,77; and sister, Farbin Towhid, 19.
The sister, Farbin, was Farhan’s twin.

In a rambling manifesto, Farhan uploaded a six-page Google Docs post to his Instagram account wherein he outlined the plans to murder his family. A now viral quote from his suicide note reads, “Hey everyone. I killed myself and my family.”
The 19-year-old went on to detail how he had been suffering from depression since he began high school. He said his brother also suffered from that same malady. He said because of their depression, they came up with a plan:
“If we can’t fix everything in a year we’ll kill ourself and our family.”
Farhan goes on to detail the tragic plan, which involved getting two guns and killing their sister, parents, and grandmother before turning the guns on themselves.

The family was from Bangladesh. The grandmother was only visiting the U.S. and was scheduled to return to her home country next month. The brothers both attended The University of Texas at Austin and their sister had earned a full scholarship to NYU.
Police said that based on the rate of the decomposed bodies, they estimate that the murders and suicides occurred sometime this past Saturday.
The Allen Police Department said they have a lot of ground yet to cover and are actively still investigating the six tragic deaths. They have asked anyone with any information regarding this case to contact Investigator Tim Dowd at tdowd@cityofallen.org or at 214-509-4252.
