Two charged with attempted murder in Maryland shooting
On April 2, law enforcement announced that two men are now in custody after being charged in the February 5 shooting of Terrell Wilson in the Perrywood section of Aberdeen, Maryland.
On Friday, February 5, at approximately 1:53 p.m., deputies with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 300 block of Mayberry Drive in Aberdeen for the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, deputies located two injured men, Terrell Wilson, 20, of Middle River, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the upper body, and Maleek Hawkins, 22, also of Middle River, suffering from a head injury. Wilson was transported to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Hawkins was treated by medics at the scene.
Through investigation, detectives with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division developed multiple suspects. Detectives arrested Tariq Scott, 21, of Edgewood, on February 11, 2021.
Following Scott’s arrest, two additional suspects, Terel Hubbard, 19, and Knowledge Wallace, 21, both of Aberdeen, were identified. On February 5, warrants were issued for their arrest. All three were charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and other related charges.
On April 1, working from information developed by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Unit, the U.S. Marshall’s Task Force took Hubbard and Wallace into custody at a residence in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Both are in custody and awaiting extradition to Harford County.
The investigation is ongoing. Detectives said that they won’t releasing any additional information at this time.
