On August 4, Baltimore County Police Officers responded to the 3900 block of Shenton Road in Randallstown, Maryland, at 11:19 a.m. for an assault call. Upon arrival they found an adult man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  That man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit took over the investigation into the shooting death. By the following day on August 5, detectives identified the man killed in the shooting as 27-year-old Derrick Laurence Towe-Williams of the 3900 block of Shenton Road in Randallstown.

On August 9, police managed to charge two men with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Derrick Laurence Towe-Williams.  Police say that the shooting took place during a drug transaction.

Yesterday, Cory Dwayne Fennell, 21, of the 4800 block of Truesdale Avenue, in Rosedale and Markus Haggins, 26, of the 2800 block of Forest Glen Road in Baltimore were both being detained without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending bail review hearings.
