A serious multiple-agency manhunt for 29-year-old cop shooter Othal Wallace came to a dramatic conclusion around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday morning when Wallace was found hiding in a tree house on a three-acre property outside of Atlanta, Georgia. That parcel of land happened to be owned by the Black military group known as the NFAC.
US Marshalls, the FBI, Homeland Security agents, and several police stations executed a search warrant on the property at 2:30 am Saturday morning. Wallace was found in a treehouse on the property, with two rifles, two handguns, and an arsenal of other weapons. More weapons were found in the main structures on the property. ~ News 4 JAX
Authorities have been hunting for Wallace ever since the evening of June 23, when a Daytona Beach Police Officer’s body cam recorded the officer approaching Wallace as he sat in a vehicle in Daytona Beach. Wallace exited the vehicle, words were exchanged with the officer, a scuffle between the two ensued ending with Officer Jason Raynor, 26, being shot in the head.
The four Daytona Beach police officers that took Wallace into custody on Saturday reportedly used Raynor’s handcuffs when they arrested their suspect in Georgia.
Raynor, who was transported to the Halifax Health Medical Center in critical condition after being shot in the head, underwent surgery for his wounds, and while still critical is said to be showing some signs of improvement, according to WESH. Raynor has been with the Daytona Beach PD for the last three years.

Immediately following the shooting, the Port Orange Police Department went on record with their prior association with the officer injured in the line of duty.
Officer Jason Raynor was employed by the Port Orange Police Department from 10/17/16 – 02/14/19. During his tenure, Officer Raynor was an exemplary officer at our agency where he still maintains friendships with many of our current officers and staff. While employed with The Port Orange Police Department, Officer Raynor received an award of achievement on December 5, 2018 where he and two other officers were able to successfully rescue a female who was attempting to jump off of the Dunlawton Bridge. Officer Raynor’s on the job accolades are surpassed only by his jovial spirit and genuine concern for his brothers and sisters and the communities he serves. We join the Daytona Beach Police Department and the rest of law enforcement in Central Florida and across our state in prayers for Officer Raynor’s speedy recovery. #daytonabeachpolicedepartment #daytonabeach #leostrong
During the manhunt for Wallace and a search of his residence only hours after Raynor was shot, “police found three ballistic vests, multiple high-capacity magazines, a firearm, a rifle, a semi-automatic handgun, and boxes of rounds in Wallace’s family’s house,” according to News 4 JAX.
The day after the shooting while the manhunt for Wallace was in full swing, police announced that the $100,000 reward offered for information leading to Wallace’s capture had been doubled.
And following the release of the Raynor’s identity as the officer who had been shot, Daytona Police made the following announcement that a GoFundMe page had been established to assist in the officer’s recovery.
