On March 4, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office announced the welcome news that two Harford County men are in custody following an indictment by a Harford County Grand Jury for the February 10, 2019, murder of food delivery driver Timothy Wayne Youngquist in Edgewood, Maryland.

On February 10, 2019, at approximately 8:30 p.m., deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 700 block of Monticello Court in Edgewood for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, deputies located 34-year-old Timothy Wayne Youngquist suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies immediately began life saving measures in an attempt to save Youngquist’s life.

Medics with the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company took over emergency care and transported Youngquist to the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Information gathered at the time of the incident indicated Youngquist was working in the area as a food delivery driver when he was shot in an apparent robbery.

Youngquist was a delivery driver for Chinese Boys when he was robbed, shot and murdered. At the time of his death, he left behind a five-year old son and Mandii Waugh, his girlfriend of seven years. Youngquist was also a former employee of Pat’s Pizzeria in Edgewood.

Detectives with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division partnered with Special Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Baltimore Field Division and Investigators from the Maryland State Police to advance the investigation over the course of three years.  Based on information gleaned during an ongoing federal investigation, suspects were identified in connection to the murder.

Deputies assigned to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Apprehension Unit took Northan into custody without incident on Tuesday, March 1.  They took Brodie into custody without incident on Thursday, March 3.  Both are being held at the Harford County Detention Center without bail.

A third man involved in the murder has already been sentenced to 18 years in a federal prison.  Amir Stanley Turner was only 17 years old when he, along with Brodie and Northan, jumped into the car being driven by Youngquist that fatal night, in an attempted armed robbery and carjacking.

Youngquist fought back, hitting the suspects with an expandable baton.

Federal prosecutors say Turner then pulled out a gun and shot Youngquist multiple times, killing him.  ~ WMAR2 News

Three years after his death, a GoFundMe page dedicated to Youngquist’s memory is still in effect.
