Two people shot at Parkside Apartments in Ocala

On December 17 around 9:20 p.m., officers with the Ocala Police Department (OPD) responded to the Parkside Apartments, located at 621 NW 2nd Street in Ocala, Florida, after receiving a call about shootings at that location.

Officers reported that gun shots were fired through a front door at the apartment, multiple times, striking two adults – one man and one woman. One of the shooting victims had a tourniquet applied by police officers on the scene. Both of the victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are actively investigating this incident. More details will be given when available.
