Update: Florida man arrested for threatening to kill Trump had guns and over 1,000 rounds of ammo in his home

(March 21, 2025) Yesterday, Florida’s St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office announced that the agency’s SWAT team, operating in partnership with the U.S. Secret Service, executed a search warrant at 3508 Metzger Rd, Fort Pierce, Florida. If that address sounds familiar, it’s because that’s the residence of the Florida man who, earlier this week, was live on social media threatening to kill Donald Trump by cutting him up with a chainsaw and dumping him in acid.

The police investigation involved 42-year-old Kendal Aaron Todd, who was arrested on March 17 and charged with Written Threats to Kill or Do Bodily Harm. Todd is currently astill incarcerated in the St. Lucie County Jail on a $500,000.00 bond. The investigation revealed that Kendal Aaron Todd posted threatening messages on his public social media page, in which he expressed intentions to cause bodily harm to President Donald Trump.
During the execution of the search warrant, Detectives recovered the following:
- (1) FN Herstal Belgium 5.7x28mm handgun,
- (1) Ruger .22 caliber handgun,
- (1) 12-gauge shotgun, and
- over 1,000 rounds of various caliber ammunition, including but not limited to 22 caliber, 7.62mm, .380 caliber, 12-gauge shotgun shells, .410 gauge, 8x60mm, .45 caliber, and 5.7x28mm rounds.

Detectives also seized multiple electronic devices deemed relevant and material to the ongoing investigation. The recovered evidence will be analyzed as part of the continued efforts to assess potential threats and further the investigation.
“We take all threats of violence extremely seriously,” said Sheriff Richard R. Del Toro Jr. “The discovery of firearms and ammunition in connection with threats made against President Trump is deeply concerning. Thanks to the swift action of our SWAT team and the cooperation of the U.S. Secret Service, we intervened promptly to address the situation and ensure the safety of our President and our community.”
