Police now believe that the woman, who was earlier described as being either a white or Hispanic middle-aged woman with brown hair and approximately 5’4″ tall, was murdered sometime between July 17 and July 20.
Officials also described the woman as perhaps having had tattooed eyebrows; and she was wearing a floral tank top with a black undershirt and black mid-thigh shorts.
Police also released actual photographs of two of the three suitcases into which the woman’s remains were found.
“We are releasing photographs of two unique pieces of luggage that the victim’s body was found in. The first is a purple Palm Springs Ricardo Beverly Hills bag. The second is a green and black polka dot Charlie Sport bag.“
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Imaging Unit also completed a reconstructed image of what they believe the victim may have looked like. Police are asking the public to review the artist’s renderings closely as the victim still remains unidentified.
The artist rendition also contains a full body sketch that has similar clothing to what the victim was found wearing. The brand for the floral top is “Betzabe” which from what we can tell is a Brazilian company.
“It’s important for the public to know that these reconstructed images are not an exact likeness of the victim or her clothing and are simply the interpretation of the artist.“
Background: At 4:03 p.m. on July 21, the Delray Beach Police Department received a 911 call regarding a suspicious item seen in the water along the intracoastal waterway near the 1000-block of Palm Trail in Delray Beach. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a suitcase with human remains inside. A short time later, two other suitcases were found also containing human remains at nearby locations – by SE 7th Avenue and Casuarina Road – areas that are both along the intracoastal waterway.
Police are still asking for the public’s help with reviewing personally owned video surveillance cameras along the intracoastal waterway during the specified timeframe. If you think you recognize the victim from the artist rendering, please contact the authorities.
