Vero Beach Police charge Florida woman with sexual battery of a child

Vero Beach Police charge Florida woman with sexual battery of a child

On October 15, police in Vero Beach, Florida, shared that their Detectives began a criminal investigation the week prior regarding an adult female who reportedly engaged in sexual activity with a minor. During the Vero Beach Police Department’s investigation, Detectives learned that the unlawful sexual activity occurred during the past fifteen months and involved a juvenile male victim who was between the ages of 16-17 at the times of the offenses.

As a result of their investigation, Detectives obtained arrest warrants and charged Valerie Esposito, 37, of Vero Beach, with the following:

• Sexual Battery on a Child-Familial or Custodial Authority (3 counts)
• Lewd Computer Solicitation of a Child (1 count)

On October 15, Esposito was arrested on the warrants and transported to the Indian River County Jail where she was being held with bonds totaling $325,000.

Police say that Detectives are continuing their investigation.
