Victoria Justice to co-star with ‘Sex/Life’ actor Adam Demos in upcoming Netflix film
Earlier this week, streaming service Netflix announced that their production company has tapped former Nickelodeon “Victorious” star, Victoria Justice, to star in an upcoming romantic comedy. The film will be shot on location in Queensland, Australia, and feature the area’s rugged terrain.
Now all grown up at 28, the accomplished singer / actress will be co-starring in the as-of-yet-still untitled romcom with Australian actor Adam Demos, who headlined in Netflix’s 2021 “Sex/Life” series. According to The Daily Mail, the 36-year-old Demos, “became an overnight sensation after baring all in a sexy shower scene in the hit series Sex/Life.”
Film Synapsis: To land a major client, a hard-driving LA wine-company exec travels to an Australian sheep station, where she ends up working as a ranch hand and sparking with a rugged local.
The film’s production and post-production will be supported by the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy, with the project creating approximately 120 jobs for Queenslanders.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said: “This new Netflix film is the latest in a string of domestic and international productions continuing to fuel the state’s screen boom which is critical to our economic recovery,”
“This project is a strong example of how our Production Attraction Strategy benefits Queensland’s local screen sector via exciting co-production arrangements for local businesses, such as Hoodlum Entertainment, one of the state’s most successful production companies.
“Screen is a major industry in our state and my Government’s recently announced $71 million boost as part of our Economic Recovery Plan, including $53 million to the Production Attraction Strategy, will ensure that the current pipeline of production continues for years to come, for the benefit of our expert local cast and crew.”
Justice starred as Lola Martinez in the television series, Zoey 101 (2005), and Tori Vega in the sitcom, Victorious (2010). She also starred in the films, The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (2010), The First Time (2012) and Fun Size (2012).

In addition to “Sex/Life,” Demos also recurred in Lifetime’s “UnREAL” and the Australian drama “Janet King” for ABC1. His film credits include Netflix rom-com “Falling Inn Love” and “Cooped Up,” according to Deadline.
And because inquiring minds want to know, Demos is dating his “Sex/Life” co-star, actress Sarah Shahi, while Justice has been romantically linked with her 2016 “Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again” co-star Reeve Carney.
