Those shootings took place near Baltimore’s iconic Lexington Market, according to CBS News in Baltimore.

And prior to that mass shooting, Charm City residents had already suffered additional violence, including homicides by physical assault and even more gun violence beginning on Friday, April 2.

On Friday morning just after 5 a.m., a patrol officer was on duty patrolling in the 100 block of N. Conkling Street when he observed an adult male being assaulted by three juvenile males, as they were attempting to take his vehicle.  The three suspects were able to take the victim’s vehicle and struck the victim as they fled the location.

The suspects who were then chased by police, bailed out of that vehicle in the 100 block of N. Clinton Street. The driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old male, was apprehended. Charges are forthcoming. The two other suspects remain at large.

The victim, a 41-year-old male, was transported to Johns Hopkins hospital where he later died from his injuries.  Homicide detectives are investigating this incident.

One adult male suffering from single gunshot wounds to the right thigh.  He was also transported to a local hospital.

Additional Saturday shootings also took place in the 3200 block of Tioga Parkway at approximately 10:55 p.m. where a 41-year-old man victim was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

On April 4 (Easter Sunday) at approximately 3:14 a.m., officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting where a 30-year-old male victim got himself to the hospital and was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.

He told police that he was at a large house party on the west side of the city when a fight broke out and gunshots ring out.

Also Sunday around 3:14 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North Milton Avenue to investigate a shooting.  The victim’s family members flagged down an ambulance in the 800 block of North Milton Avenue and directed them to the rear of the 700 block of North Milton Avenue to the victim. When officers arrived at the location a short time later,  they observed a 27-year-old man suffering from a single gunshot wound to the shoulder.

The victim was too intoxicated and couldn’t give an exact address where the shooting occurred.  That shooting victim was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.

Later in the day on Easter Sunday around 4:24 p.m., Western District officers were patrolling the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue when they heard gunshots coming from the corner of Cumberland Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.  Once at the location, officers located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
