Who killed 17-year-old Lezarius “Lee” Graham?

On June 16, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) headquartered in Ocala, Florida, issued a plea to the community to please come forward with any information regarding the murder of 17-year-old Lezarius “Lee” Graham (pictured.)   On Wednesday, June 7 at approximately 7:15 p.m., MCSO deputies responded to the area surrounding the 2100 block of NW 43rd St. in Ocala in reference to a citizen finding a dead body in a wooded area.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a deceased 17-year-old male, identified as Lezarius Graham, who had been shot. MCSO Major Crimes detectives arrived on the scene to begin their investigation into the homicide.

MCSO Major Crimes detectives are seeking information from the community to assist them with their investigation into the murder of the 17-year-old, including his whereabouts and persons he may have been with prior to his death.

Through the investigation thus far, the detectives believe that Lezarius was likely murdered on June 6, near the area in which his body was discovered. They also confirmed that he died as the result of a gunshot wound.

The teen’s mother, Sakemia Jones, reported her son missing on June 6.  When the mom returned home from work earlier that same day, she learned that Lezarius didn’t make it to his job that day.

“I knew something was wrong immediately,” Jones said.

The family said Graham was expecting to be a father with his girlfriend. They were expecting a baby girl together. ~ WESH

At this time, a suspect has not been identified, but detectives continue to follow up on all investigative leads. They are asking anyone with information about Lezarius Graham’s murder to contact Crime Stoppers of Marion County at (352) 368-STOP(7867) and reference 23-33 in your tip.
