On December 28, USA Today reported that a Naples, Florida, woman was arrested for armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon after robbing a USPS mail truck.  Deputies from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office responding to a call of a woman pointing a gun at people arrived at the scene located at Triangle Bay Dr. and Collier Blvd. around 4 p.m. on December 22.  When deputies got there, they found 52-year-old Leida Crisostomo riding around the area on a tricycle and wielding a black and silver handgun.

Crisostomo complied with the deputies’ directives to drop the weapon.  After dropping the handgun, Crisostomo dropped herself to the ground, rolled onto a grassy area and put her hands behind her back, according to NBC-2.

After deputies handcuffed her, Crisostomo told police she was God, then said the voices in her head were telling her to do things. ~ per WTHR

Earlier that same Saturday, Crisostomo reportedly pointed her gun at a jogger in the area.  She managed to stop a USPS mail truck and steal one package from the postal worker driving the truck. Crisostomo then fled the scene riding a tricycle according to the police report.

Following her arrest, police discovered that her handgun was a plastic toy gun. Crisostomo was charged with felony armed robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.  No-one was injured as a result of Crisostomo’s actions.  She is currently in jail being held on a $25,000 bond.
