The former knuckleballer was 37 years old at the time of his death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His body was discovered on a trail in the Grand Canyon around 4 p.m. on October 3. Police had been searching for Haeger since Friday night after his ex-girlfriend, Danielle Breed, was found shot to death. Breed was also the owner of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheTipsyCoyote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Tipsy Coyote Bar and Grill<\/a> in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Scottsdale Police had been looking for the ex-pitcher who was wanted on suspicion of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\/sports\/white-sox\/ct-chicago-white-sox-charles-haeger-shooting-death-20201004-3huijviowfgj3kl6wbwcecwx34-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">murder and aggravated assault<\/a> in that fatal shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Police reportedly responded to a report of gunshots Friday evening, when Breed\u2019s roommate said he heard gunshots upon returning to their residence on Friday. His unoccupied vehicle was later discovered about 100 miles away, near Flagstaff. Police put out a notice saying that they were looking for Haeger and that he should be considered \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/charles-haeger-mlb-pitcher-wanted-murder-dodgers-padres-white-sox-234818619.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">armed and dangerous<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>According to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/player\/charlie-haeger-446624\" target=\"_blank\">mlb.com<\/a>, Haeger was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 2001, and he pitched 83 innings in the major leagues. His career included stints with the Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers organizations.
