KINGSVILLE, Md. — More than two years after children playing in a wooded area of Kingsville made a disturbing discovery, Baltimore County detectives are still searching for the identity of the woman whose remains were found there.

In early March 2024, children playing in the woods near the 8300 block of Bradshaw Road discovered a human skull. Baltimore County homicide detectives, assisted by volunteers from the Chesapeake Search and Rescue Dog Association, subsequently searched the area and located additional human bones.

DNA testing confirmed that the skull and other remains belonged to the same person.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that the unidentified woman was likely Hispanic and between 20 and 30 years old. But despite an extensive investigation—including DNA analysis and genetic genealogy—detectives have been unable to determine who she was.

Now, in an effort to put a name to the unidentified woman, Baltimore County Police are turning to the public.

New forensic rendering offers a glimpse of “Bradshaw Jane Doe”:  In 2026, a NamUs forensic artist created a facial rendering intended to provide an approximation of what investigators believe the woman may have looked like.

Police are publicly releasing the rendering as they renew their appeal for information that could finally identify her.

Investigators are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may know of a woman who disappeared but was never officially reported missing.

Detectives emphasize that even information that may initially seem insignificant could prove important in solving the case and helping provide answers about the woman’s identity and what happened to her.
