Florida child, 2, dies after being left in van outside of daycare center
On July 29 at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Broward Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call asking for medical assistance at the Ceressa’s Daycare and Preschool located at 3140 N.W. 21st Ave. in Oakland Park, Florida. When deputies and Oakland Park Fire Rescue arrived, they confirmed that a two-year toddler was deceased.  The child was found, alone, inside the Daycare Center’s transportation van.
Detectives confirmed the toddler had been transported in the van to the facility Monday morning. Investigators are continuing to interview daycare employees and other witnesses to determine the circumstances that led to the death.
An employee at the daycare discovered the body of two-year-old Noah Sneed inside the van that was used to transport the children back and forth. Homicide detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office are still actively investigating the child’s death.
Noah was from Ft. Lauderdale. His remains were transported to the medical examiner’s office where an autopsy will be performed to determine his cause of death.
According to a GoFundMe page started for Noah, he was picked up by the transport van in the morning hours. Officials are assuming that if his body wasn’t discovered until 3:30 p.m., that he was left alone in that van for the better part of the day. Temperatures that day reached 92 degrees in the area where the transport van was parked, according to People.
Thus far, no suspects have been named and no charges have been filed against anyone regarding Noah’s death, according to The Miami Herald.
