Lake Worth Beach stabbing leaves 1 dead, 3 injured; Suspect remains unknown and at large

LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. — A violent early-morning altercation in Lake Worth Beach left one man dead and three others injured Saturday, Aug. 29, after four men were found suffering from apparent stab wounds, authorities said.

Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded around 1:20 a.m. to the 700 block of North F Street, where they discovered the four adult male victims. All were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

One victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. A second man remained hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, while the other two victims suffered injuries considered non-life-threatening, according to investigators.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Division are investigating the incident as a homicide. Preliminary information indicates that an altercation involving several men preceded the stabbings.

No suspect has been publicly identified, and investigators have not released a motive. The case remains active and ongoing.

Residents told WFLX/WPTV that the violence was unsettling for a neighborhood they generally consider quiet, with one resident saying the incident prompted her to take additional precautions with her children, particularly at night.

Some residents say they are now taking extra precautions following the stabbing.

“I’m changing things on my end, at the very least I’m not going outside with the kids anymore — mainly at night or walking at night,” Gloria said. “You’re not safe anymore.”  ~ Fox 29
