Breaking! Florida woman arrested after threatening to shoot Trump at Daytona Beach campaign rally

DAYTONA BEACH, FL. (October 30, 2026) — A 21-year-old Daytona Beach woman was arrested after allegedly posting an online threat to shoot President Donald Trump, prompting an investigation involving the FBI, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Secret Service.

Allison Albro was taken into custody after authorities were alerted to an Instagram post Thursday night that allegedly threatened gun violence against Trump during his scheduled visit to Daytona Beach on Friday.

According to Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood, the Sheriff’s Office Domestic Security Unit and the U.S. Secret Service went to Albro’s residence following the reported threat.

During questioning, Albro reportedly claimed she was joking, told investigators she did not have access to a Glock or any other firearm, and insisted she would never hurt anyone.

Authorities, however, treated the post as a serious security concern. Albro was arrested and charged with written threats to kill and unlawful use of a communications device, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The arrest comes as law enforcement agencies prepare for heightened security surrounding Trump’s scheduled midterm campaign rally at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, where he is expected to appear Friday evening at 7 p.m.

Sheriff Chitwood emphasized that threats against Trump would not be dismissed as jokes, particularly during a major public appearance. His office said it continues working with the Secret Service, FBI and other law enforcement agencies to protect the president, rally attendees and the surrounding community.

The incident underscores the heightened security concerns surrounding presidential appearances and serves as a reminder that threatening statements posted on social media can carry serious criminal consequences.
